Asbestos-aluminum gaskets
Asbestos-aluminum gaskets for chark production
Gasket materials are used to seal flanged joints of pipelines and fittings operating in a wide variety of conditions. Gasket materials must be flexible, strong (to withstand internal pressures), and also resistant to temperature conditions and the corrosive effects of the environment in which they are located.
Combined asbestos-metal gaskets are used in pipelines for gaseous media with a nominal bore of up to 100 mm, operating under pressure up to 64 kgf / cm2 and temperatures up to 425°C.
The dimensions of the gaskets are taken in accordance with the dimensions of the sealing surfaces of the flanges; the inner diameter of the gasket should be slightly larger than the inner diameter of the pipe: for pipes with an outer diameter of up to 125 mm - by 2-3 mm, more than 125 mm - by 3-4 mm. In connections * with flanges having a depression and a ledge, the thickness of the gaskets is taken 0.5-1 mm less than the height of the depression in the flange.
