Siloxane
Siloxane - thermoplastic silicone
For the production of thermoplastic products that combine the properties of thermoplastic elastomers and silicones.
• block copolymer of polydimethylsiloxane and polyurethane (more than 90% - siloxane)
• combines in its composition organic and inorganic components - rigid and elastic blocks:
The rigid organic block provides high mechanical strength in a wide temperature range, and the elastic siloxane block provides excellent elastomeric properties, elasticity at low temperatures, gas permeability, high resistance to UV radiation.
Transparent material with a high degree of light transmission (no yellowing), free of fillers, plasticizers and other additives. Possesses high adhesion to various materials (can be used as an adhesive) and high mechanical strength, including when heated. Does not contain volatile substances, stable and shelf stable indefinitely. Can be stained and recyclable.
Application options for Siloxane:
- Modifying additive for plastics processing
Due to its block structure, Siloxane is compatible with organic polymers. Improves their rheological properties, filling of injection molds, as well as the removal of finished products. Reduces the load on the auger, improving productivity. It is introduced into the polymer in an amount of 0.2-2%. - Modification of textile fibers
When Siloxane is applied to textile fibers, a water-repellent breathable layer is formed. - Use of Siloxane as base material
