V-22

Asbestos-free gasket material V-22 (В-22) is made from specialized grades of NBR rubber, reinforced with high-strength aramid fibers. V-22 (В-22) is used for the manufacture of gaskets for any types of fixed connections of vessels of apparatus, pumps, valves, compressors and other units. The optimal proportions of aramid fibers and active fillers make the material universal for use in various media - from gas and air to dilute acids and light oil products with operating temperatures up to 200°C and pressures up to 8 MPa (80 kgf /s2).

The multilayer structure reliably allows the material to be ductile, to be compressed well, covering the unevenness of the surfaces to be sealed, and to comply with the European norm for gas permeability of <0.1 mg/m·s.

The material is manufactured according to the technical conditions agreed in Rosenergoatom OJSC, and based on the results of the V-22 operation. We recommend it for use at nuclear power plants as a modern replacement for asbestos paronites by the Guiding Document RD EO 0198-2000 “Assembly of flange joints”.
