APK-31 (Asbestos, impregnated, twisted) GOST 5152-84. Composition: Asbestos cord, twisted, impregnated with antifriction fatty compound based on oil extracts, graphite. Purpose: It is used in the chemical and petrochemical industry, in mechanical engineering, metallurgy and metalworking, electrical engineering and power engineering to fill stuffing boxes in order to seal the movable and fixed joints of various machines under the influence of aggressive environments, high temperatures and pressure.
