Asbestos cords ShAP and SHAON
Asbestos cords ShAP and SHAON - GOST 1779-83
SHAON (general purpose asbestos cord) consists of chrysotile asbestos fibers mixed with cotton and other chemical fibers.
By its structure, SHAON is a cylindrical body, consisting of several folds of single yarn, twisted together. The direction of twisting is opposite to the direction of twisting of a single yarn.
It is used for thermal insulation of heating units, in sealing connections in various heating units and heat-conducting systems.
Vibration resistant.
Stored indoors.
The surface of high-quality asbestos cords should not contain damaged outer threads, the core of the cord should not protrude from under the outer threads. On the surface of the asbestos cord, the presence of ends of threads up to 25 mm long, formed when the threads are tied, are allowed. The mass fraction of moisture of asbestos cord, manufactured in accordance with GOST 1779-83, should not exceed 3% for cotton-based cords, and 4.5% for viscose-based asbestos cords. For asbestos cord, the mass fraction of asbestos fiber must be at least 78%.
A high-quality asbestos cord SHAON does not have thread breaks, does not exfoliate, and is resistant to bending. Asbestos cords SHAON, manufactured for operation in tropical climates, contain a mixture of asbestos and lavsan fibers.
Downy asbestos cord ShAP GOST 1779-83
It is used for thermal insulation of hot pipe connections, as a seal in various heating units and heat-conducting systems. Most often, asbestos cords are in demand at machine-building enterprises (for sealing stationary parts of machinery and equipment), as well as at pipe-rolling plants (for sealing the joints of sections in furnaces for heating pipes).
The use of asbestos cord allows to reduce operating costs for energy resources and increase the productivity of heating systems. ShAP asbestos cord is an unshaped refractory material with excellent heat-resistant and fire-resistant properties, made by wrapping a core of asbestos roving (chrysotile asbestos mixed with cotton and other chemical fibers) with asbestos threads or yarns.
Asbestos downy cord ShAP is produced in two grades: ShAP-01 and ShAP-02.
