Asbestos gland packing AGI

It is an elastic cord of square or rectangular cross-section, woven of asbestos thread, impregnated with graphite glue, contains a corrosion inhibitor. GOST 5152-84.

Section size: 3-28 mm.

Produced in coils or bobbins, tied with twine with an average weight of 10-20 kg. Coils are packed in plastic bags or plastic wrap.

It is used in stuffing box seals of fittings, pumps, fixed joints working with: inert gases, nitrogen, air at pressure of 20 MPa, temperature not higher than 325°C, water steam at pressure of up to 35 MPa, temperature of no higher than 565°C, petroleum products at pressure of up to 32 MPa, temperature not higher than + 450°C, water and organic products at pressure of up to 38 MPa, temperature of up to +280°C, pumps working with: water and organic products at pressure of up to 2 MPa, temperature of no higher than 70°C and sliding speed of up to 25 m/s with gaseous and liquid ammonia at pressure of up to 32 MPa and temperature of -70 to + 160 ° C , at sliding speed up to 15 m/s.

For sealing stationary joints of machinery working with: liquid and gaseous oil products, aggressive environments at pressures up to 37 MPa and temperatures no higher than 600°C. Before installing the gasket, it is recommended to press it under a pressure of 35-40 MPa in the form of rings according to the dimensions of the stuffing box. The guaranteed shelf life is 5 years from the date of manufacture. Storage conditions: closed storage rooms, protect from direct sunlight, keep at a distance of 1 m from heat-emitting devices.
