Gland packing KhBP-31
KhBP packing is elastic cord impregnated with a fatty compound of round or square cross section, woven of cotton thread. It is made according to TU 38 114339-88, by weaving of cotton thread, and then impregnating it with a special antifriction compound. This packing must have a density of at least 0.9 g/cm³. Standard packing cross-sections can be from 4 to 50 mm.
KhBP asbestos-free packing serves as an excellent seal for fittings and various pumps, the operation of which is characterized by elevated temperatures up to +100°C and pressures up to 20 MPa. In stuffing box seals, the packing can withstand contacts with such environments as air, neutral steams, inert gases, industrial water, hydrocarbons, mineral oils, fuel oil. The maximum permissible sliding speed for packings of this grade is 2 m/s, temperature - +120°С, pressure - up to 20 MPa.
