It is an elastic cord of square or rectangular cross-section, woven of asbestos thread, impregnated with a suspension of fluoroplastic with talcum powder, not graphitized. GOST 5152-84. Section size: 4-28 mm.

Produced in coils or bobbins, tied with twine with an average weight of 10-20 kg. Coils are packed in paper or plastic bags, sack paper, or plastic wrap.

It is used in stuffing box seals of fittings working with liquefied gases (oxygen, nitrogen, etc.) and organic products (gasoline, benzene, toluene, acetone, furan, tetrahydrofuran, etc.) at a medium pressure of 25 MPa and a temperature from - 200 to + 300 °C, as well as with ethylene at a pressure of 150 MPa and a temperature of + 250°C. The permissible sliding speed is up to 2 m/s. In stuffing box seals of pumps operating with organic products, acidic, alkaline environs, ammonia at pressure and temperature for centrifugal pumps - 3 MPa and +300°C, for piston pumps - 34 MPa and + 250°C, sliding speed up to 15 and 2m/ s, respectively. In the stuffing box seals of centrifugal pumps that pump sea water at a pressure of 4.5 MPa and a temperature from -2 to +50°C at a sliding speed of up to 10 m/s.

It is recommended to press AFT before installation under a pressure of 20-25 MPa in the form of rings according to the dimensions of the stuffing box. Before pressing rings for stuffing boxes of fittings operating in oxygen, the gasket must be degreased with freon 113 or grade A carbon tetrachloride.

The guaranteed shelf life is 5 years from the date of manufacture. Storage conditions: closed storage rooms, protect from direct sunlight, keep at a distance of 1 m from heat-emitting devices.
