Advantages of KAP asbestos board insulation:
Fire resistance. This is the most significant characteristic of KAP asbestos board. The material does not burn, the physical and mechanical properties practically do not alter when heated, which allows you to maintain the heat-insulating ability of surfaces with temperatures up to 500°C for a long time. When heated, KAP asbestos board does not emit harmful substances into the environment. KAP is safe for human health, which is confirmed by a hygienic certificate.
Alkali resistance.
Ease of use.
Resistance to aging and decay processes.
Lack of emission of harmful substances when heated.
Durability. The durability of thermal insulation made of KAP asbestos is largely predetermined by the stable chemical composition of chrysotile asbestos, from which the cardboard is made.
Due to its composition, asbestos board does not dissolve in water. It is resistant to alkalis, withstands decay processes and is able to withstand high temperatures without significant changes in physical properties. These qualities make it possible to classify asbestos cardboard KAP among durable materials, the service life of which, when/if used in accordance with rules, is commensurate with the service life of the main materials.
Application:
KAP asbestos board is used in the production of asbestos-technical products for the automotive industry (as a soft core in the combined seal of the cylinder head, in the seal of the exhaust manifold of carburetor and diesel engines), aviation, chemical, metallurgical, electrical engineering industries, in ship-building and mechanical engineering, as well as for thermal insulation of heat and power equipment, devices, machinery and communications.
Manufactured in accordance with GOST 2850-95.
