Asbestos gland packing APR-31

It is an elastic cord of square or round cross-section, woven of asbestos thread with brass wire of 0.17-0.2 mm in diameter, impregnated with an antifriction fatty compound based on oil extracts, graphitized. GOST 5152-84.

Section size: 4-50 mm.

It is produced in coils or bobbins tied with twine with an average weight of 10-30 kg. Coils are packed in paper or plastic bags, sack paper, or plastic wrap.

It is used in stuffing box seals of fittings operating with neutral, liquid, aggressive environments at pressure of no higher than 32 MPa and temperature of -70 to + 200°C, as well as with oil products at pressure of no higher than 2 MPa and temperature of -30 to + 300 °C. It is used in stuffing box seals of centrifugal pumps operating with liquid, neutral and aggressive environments and oil products at pressure not exceeding 2.5 MPa and temperature not exceeding +210°C, and sliding speed up to 15 m/s. It is used in piston pumps operating with liquid, neutral and aggressive environments and oil products at pressures up to 4.5 MPa and temperatures not exceeding +210°C, permissible sliding speed -- 2 m/s.

The guaranteed shelf life is 5 years from the date of manufacture. Storage conditions: closed storage rooms, protect from direct sunlight, keep at a distance of 1 m from heat-emitting devices.
