Asbestos gland packing AFT
AFT (impregnated with a fluoroplastic suspension with talc) GOST 5152-84. It is an elastic cord of a square or rectangular cross-section, woven of asbestos thread, impregnated with a suspension of fluoroplastic with talc.
Application: in stuffing box seals: fittings operating with liquefied gases (oxygen, nitrogen, etc.) and organic products (gasoline, benzene, toluene, acetone, furan, tetrahydrofuran, etc.) at a pressure of 150 MPa and temperatures from -200 to + 300 ° C, ethylene at a pressure of 150 MPa and a temperature of up to 250 ° C, at a sliding speed of up to 2 m / s; designed for pumps operating with organic, acidic and alkaline media, ammonia at pressure and temperature for centrifugal pumps - 3 MPa and 300 ° С, for piston pumps - 34 MPa and 250 ° С, at sliding speed - up to 15 and 2 m / s respectively; They are used in stuffing box seals of centrifugal pumps pumping sea water at a pressure of 4.5 MPa and a temperature from -2 to + 50 ° C, at a sliding speed of up to 10 m/s.
